India has so far received 11 Rafale fighter jets from France. By March 2021, 17 more warplanes will arrive in India from France. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said this in the Rajya Sabha in response to a question on Monday.
Rajnath Singh said that India would get the full raffle in a year or two in April 2022. India signed 333 Rafale warplanes from France. The defense minister said that after Raphael arrived in India from France, a program of national importance was taken to include him in the air force.
The defense minister said there were also bilateral talks on the air deal, where the French side was led by the defense minister and he led India. Rajnath told the House that 111 materials have been identified, which it has been decided not to import from other countries and to produce them domestically. According to the defense minister, the government is placing full emphasis on indigenization in defense production.
