Ashok Khemka transferred: The famous senior IAS officer of Haryana, Ashok Khemka has been transferred once again. This is his 54th transfer in a career spanning 30 years in the civil service. Khemka, a 1991 batch IAS officer, has been re-employed along with cabinet minister Anil Vij after nearly two years. Earlier in March 2019, Khemka was transferred.
The Haryana government on Friday issued the transfer order of senior IAS officer Ashok Khemka. From his present assignment of Principal Secretary (Archives, Archeology and Museums), he has been transferred as Principal Secretary, Haryana Science and Technology Department. He will also look after the fisheries department.
Khemka has been given this responsibility while removing the Principal Secretary, Science and Technology Department, Amit Jha from this post. On November 27, 2019, Khemka was handling the science and technology department before being handed over the responsibility of the Department of Records, Archeology and Museums. At the same time, Arun Kumar Gupta, who is handling the Department of Local Urban Bodies and Skill Development and Industrial Training, has been given the additional charge of Principal Secretary, Archives, Archeology and Museum.
Letter was written to CM Khattar after 53rd transfer
Let us inform that Khemka had written a letter to Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lakh Khattar after getting upset over his 53rd transfer. He had said in his letter that submissive officers flourish, while honest are given minor roles. He had also asked CM Khattar to allow him to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Khemka wrote that submissive and corrupt officers flourish during active service and are rewarded even after retirement, while honest are assigned small and modest jobs that are suitable for the lower ranks. He had said that the corrupt are not put in the dock unless they attack the interests of the rulers. Governance is no longer a service, but a business. Only idiots like me will think about public trust and act as trustworthy. Contrary to expectation, I hope you will not throw this letter in the dustbin. Simultaneously, in his letter, Khemka had reminded Khattar that the BJP had made a big issue of alleged irregularities in land deals during the previous Congress government’s tenure during the 2014 elections, but it has now been forgotten.
Huda government was transferred dozens of times
It is worth noting that before the BJP, Khemka was transferred dozens of times in the Hooda government of Congress. Whichever department he goes to, he has been exposing scams. Before the Sports Department, he had stopped the pension of more than 3 lakh elderly people on the apprehension of fraud in the Social Welfare Department. Earlier, a scam was also caught in the Seed Development Corporation.
