It was announced on Wednesday itself that the Punjab Congress would march from Mohali to Lakhimpur Kheri under the leadership of Sidhu. Let us tell you that in the past, Sidhu has resigned from the post of Punjab Congress President due to non-acceptance of his interference in the Channi government. Earlier, Sidhu had also demanded the release of Priyanka Gandhi.

Sidhu, who had already demonstrated over the Lakhimpur violence, had given the Uttar Pradesh government time till Wednesday to accede to the demands. Priyanka Gandhi has been released from Sitapur guest house but Union Minister’s son Ashish Mishra has not been arrested yet. In such a situation, Sidhu has started the march from Mohali to Lakhimpur on Thursday.
