Hundreds of people, including relatives of the CRPF commandos abducted by the Maoists in Chhattisgarh, blocked the road on Wednesday. While demonstrating these people, the government has demanded that Cobra Commando Rakesh Singh Manhas be released as soon as possible. While performing, the family members and others have demanded that Rakeshwar Singh should be freed from Maoists in the same way as the government immediately released Abhinand Vardhaman from Pakistan. On Tuesday night, the Maoists had confirmed the abduction of Rakeshwar and told the government that the commandos would be released after negotiations if she appoints a negotiator.

On Sunday, 22 CRPF and police personnel were killed in the Naxalite attack, while Manhas was abducted by the Naxalites. 31 soldiers were also injured in this incident. Manhas’s wife, who hails from Lower Barnai, Jammu, has also demanded immediate steps from the government for her release. The wife has made a passionate appeal saying that if action is ever delayed by one day, there is action, but if she is abducted for 4 days, then no action has been taken. Manhas’s wife Meenu said, “The Maoists have abducted my husband for 4 days, but no steps have been taken to release him.”

Manhas has a 5-year-old girl and is the only earning person in the family. His mother has also appealed to the government to release the son. He said, ‘I don’t want anything else. I just want my son to return. Where is the government Is there no cost to a young man’s life for this government? ‘ Rakeshwar Singh Manhas’ father-in-law has also expressed anger over his failure to release yet. He said, ‘Did we vote for the government for this day? No one is coming forward to rescue us. He is my son-in-law and we want his return. He has been in the possession of the Naxalites for the last 4 days, but the government has not taken any step so far for his release.

This is the criminal silence of the government, why matters are being dragged

In Jammu, people protesting demanding the release of Rakeshwar have staged a sit-in at Barnai Chowk with tricolor in their hands. Not only this, slogans were also raised against the BJP government and Union Territory’s LG Manoj Sinha. Not only this, a family angry over Rakeshwar’s not being released so far, accused the government of not taking action and said that it was criminal silence. He said, ‘His mother sent him to serve the country. We are poor people, we have nothing to do with politics. But when this government can bring wing commander Abhinandan Vardhaman from Pakistan, then why is this issue being dragged? It is the responsibility of the government to free our child from the possession of Naxalites.
