How much will Kanhaiya-Jignesh’s support for Congress? have a look

On Tuesday (September 28), former JNUSU President Kanhaiya Kumar and Jignesh Mevani from Gujarat are going to join the Congress. For this, preparations have been completed by Congress. Both the youth leaders will join the Congress in the presence of Rahul Gandhi in Delhi on the occasion of Sardar Bhagat Singh’s birthday.

On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sardar Bhagat Singh, who made a big contribution in the independence of the country, the Congress is trying many equations together by adding Kanhaiya Kumar and Jignesh Mevani with them.

In recent years, young leaders like Jyotiraditya Scindia, Jitin Prasad and Sushmita Dev have left the Congress. After which questions arose on the Congress party leadership. Then just a few days ago, the discord between Captain Amarinder Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu in Punjab Congress came to the fore. In which Amarinder had to leave the chair. They are still running angry with the party high command. In such a situation, how much benefit the Congress party gets by adding Kanhaiya Kumar and Jignesh Mevani, it will be a matter to be seen. Both the leaders are young and have a good hold among the youth of their generation.

In the next year 2022, assembly elections are to be held in five states including UP, Uttarakhand, Punjab. In such a situation, how far the association of Kanhaiya Kumar and Jignesh Mevani takes the Congress in the electoral race, it will be a matter of future.

Congress, which is losing one election after another, is now preparing to change itself. The eye of the party is also on the Lok Sabha elections along with the assembly. To reach the threshold of victory in the elections, the party is going to bet on the youth with caste equations, so that, in the 2024 elections, it can win as many seats as possible. The inclusion of Kanhaiya Kumar and Jignesh Mevani in the party is part of that.

Kanhaiya Kumar, the former president of JNUSU, who belongs to Bihar, has been on the target of the BJP government since the beginning for raising anti-national slogans. He has his own vote bank in Bihar. Kanhaiya Kumar can be of great use to the Congress in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections and Bihar Assembly elections.

It has been learned that Gujarat Congress President Hardik Patel is in touch with Kanhaiya Kumar and Independent MLA from Gujarat Jignesh Mevani for a long time. It is learned from the sources that both have given their consent for the entry in the party.

Kanhaiya Kumar, who hails from Bihar, had contested the last Lok Sabha elections from Begusarai Lok Sabha seat in Bihar as a CPI candidate against Union Minister Giriraj Singh, though he lost. On the other hand, Jignesh, who belongs to the Dalit community, is an independent MLA from Vadgam assembly constituency of Gujarat.
