Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel to meet PM Modi and President Kovind on a one-day visit to Delhi


The new Chief Minister of Gujarat Bhupendra Patel is going to visit New Delhi on Monday. After which he is scheduled to meet President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Let us inform that Bhupendra Patel has taken charge as the Chief Minister of Gujarat after the resignation of Vijay Rupani. Now, today Patel is scheduled to make an ODI tour of Delhi. This will be Patel’s first meeting with the country’s top leadership after taking over as the chief minister.

During his short visit, Patel will also meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Jagat Prakash Nadda. Bhupendra Patel took oath of the highest office in the state on Monday. A total of 24 ministers took oath at the Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar on Thursday at the swearing-in ceremony of the Gujarat cabinet.

Earlier, Vijay Rupani submitted his resignation to Governor Acharya Devvrat on Saturday, a few months before the 2022 assembly elections in the state. After Rupani’s resignation as chief minister, this year became the fourth chief minister of the BJP-led state government in the country to resign. Earlier, former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat and Trivendra Singh Rawat resigned.


Born in Ahmedabad, Patel is a first-time MLA from Ghatlodia seat, a post previously held by Anandiben Patel, who is currently serving as the Governor of Uttar Pradesh with additional charge of Madhya Pradesh.
