Two soldiers, including a JCO, were martyred in a terrorist attack on Thursday night in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district. Traffic on the Rajouri-Poonch National Highway was also stopped due to the encounter with the terrorists. After being injured in the encounter, both the soldiers were admitted to the hospital, but they could not be saved. According to reports, the encounter is still going on here, but till now no terrorist has been reported to be killed. Not only this, it is being said that the soldiers have once again been attacked by the same terrorists, who had killed 5 soldiers in an ambush on Monday. Many of the terrorists with whom the soldiers had an encounter on Thursday night were also involved in that attack.
According to military sources, it is being said that 4 to 5 terrorists are involved in this attack. All these terrorists are probably part of the group which infiltrated into India through the LoC in August. Police and security forces got information about them. Only after this the security forces had killed two terrorists on 6 August. After this, another terrorist was killed on 19 August. However, even now many terrorists who came in that group are active in Jammu and Kashmir. These terrorists had attacked the soldiers on the Mughal Road on Monday. This road connects Poonch with Shopian district of South Kashmir.
