The state government has taken a number of precautionary measures regarding the increasing cases of corona infection. Especially on the occasion of major festivals like Holika Dahan, Holi and Shab-e-Barat, many important instructions have been issued to stop its spread and protect the people. He issued instructions at the district and divisional level that officials should ensure that a minimum number of people gather in public places on this occasion.

The meeting of the Disaster Management Group (CMG) held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Singh was held on Saturday. In this meeting, in view of the increasing cases of corona in the state, Holi and Shab-e-Barat, several important decisions were taken for the successful management of Kovid-19. Instructions have been given to all Divisional Commissioners and all Regional Inspector Generals and Deputy Inspectors General, District Magistrates and Senior Superintendents of Police, Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of all departments to follow the decisions taken in the meeting. An order was issued to follow them throughout the state.

Officers of various departments attended the meeting, including Principal Secretary of Health Department, Supriya Amrit. Director General of Police Sanjeev Kumar Singhal and Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department Chaitanya Prasad issued the order jointly after the meeting.

In the directive, the concerned authorities have been told that a minimum number of people will gather on the occasion of Holika Dahan to be held on the eve of Holi and on the occasion of Kovid Protocol (wearing masks, maintaining social distancing, hand sanitizing etc.) Adherence will be ensured. On the day of the adjacent Holi festival, no activity or event will be allowed to congregate in public places. This will be ensured by the administration in all districts. At the same time, on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat, at least people will gather at one place. Also, they have to follow the protocol of Kovid-19. This will be ensured by the administration. According to the instructions, the cemetery management committees will also take full precaution with regard to following the Kovid protocol at their level. As per the directive issued by the Home (Special) Department, the decisions taken in the meetings of CMG will be ensured at all levels of the concerned officials.

According to the information, a decision has already been taken to keep the central government’s guidelines applicable to control the corona infection in Bihar. The state government has asked the officials to ensure strict adherence to the guidelines. These orders have been given in view of the increase in the number of active cases available daily in the state. In the last two days, after the meeting of 428 new infected people, a meeting of the Disaster Management Group was directed not to allow the masses to gather in large numbers in public places.
