‘Freedom of 1947 was begging’, Varun Gandhi furious at Kangana’s statement, asked- call it madness or treason?

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is once again in controversy. Kangana Ranaut made a statement regarding independence during a program, which has now been targeted by BJP MP Varun Gandhi. Varun Gandhi has accused Kangana Ranaut of insulting freedom fighters and said that I should call Kangana’s thinking madness or sedition. Actually, Kangana had given a statement that the freedom got in 1947 was begging, the country got the real freedom in the year 2014.

Kangana said in a program- ‘Savarkar, Rani Laxmibai, leader Subhash Chandra Bose If I talk about these people, then these people knew that blood will flow but also remember that Hindustani-Hindustani should not shed blood. He paid the price for freedom, of course. But that was not freedom, it was begging. The freedom we got was given in 2014.

While tweeting the video of this statement of Kangana, Varun Gandhi wrote together, ‘Sometimes an insult to Mahatma Gandhi’s sacrifice and penance, sometimes respect to his killer, and now from Shaheed Mangal Pandey to Rani Laxmibai, Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, Hatred of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and the sacrifices of lakhs of freedom fighters. Should I call this thinking madness or sedition?’

This statement of Kangana has also been criticized by Akali Dal leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa. While tweeting Kangana’s video, he also wrote, ‘How can an artist playing the role of Manikarnika call freedom begging!!! It is the mental bankruptcy of Kangana Ranaut to beg for the freedom she got after lakhs of martyrs.
