In Hilsa of Nalanda district of Bihar, unscrupulous miscreants shot dead Surendra Prasad, the former sarpanch of Redi Panchayat. The deceased were residents of Ugan Vigha village in Hilsa police station area. In the next village Allipur, returning home after panchayating a land dispute between two brothers, the bike-rammed miscreants shot dead near the Kodhia bridge near Rasalpur village.
The relatives of the deceased said that 18 Katha land dispute was going on between Vaiju Prasad and Sunil Prasad, resident of Alipur village of Hilsa police station area, the former sarpanch was called late Friday evening to settle the dispute. There were other people in the Panchayati for a long time between the two sides in front of the Panches. Both sides were not ready to listen to the Panches, after which the people involved in the Panch went to their respective homes without settling the dispute.
Former sarpanch Surendra Prasad was going to leave the house by car by Sunil and others while the miscreants of the car landed on the road to remove the bike on the road in the middle of Ralspur Kodia bridge on Hilsa-Chikasaura main road. Fired fast. During this, bullets were shot in the chest of the former sarpanch and died on the spot. After the incident, all the miscreants ran on the bike and ran away. Due to the rush of bullets, the area was scarred for a while.
After receiving the information about the incident, Hilsa Police Station Suresh Prasad reached with the Dal Force and after taking the post-mortem took the body and handed over the body to the family. Station head Suresh Prasad said that the land dispute had gone to settle, but there was no consensus on both sides, after which the former sarpanch was returning home when he was shot dead. An FIR has been lodged by Pappu Kumar, the son of the deceased, in Hilsa police station named Baiju Prasad, Maya Devi, Satyendra Prasad, Deepak Kumar, Chulbul Kumar, Narendra Prasad and Bunty Kumar as accused.
