The Ministry of Civil Aviation on Tuesday allowed food to be served in short-haul domestic aircraft. Earlier, in view of the Corona epidemic, serving miles was not allowed in short-range aircraft. On behalf of the government, it was said that domestic aircraft which cover a distance of less than 2 hours will not have the facility of miles. In view of the Corona epidemic, this facility was closed from 15 April. But now a statement issued by the ministry said, ‘Airlines associated with short-haul domestic aircraft can serve food inside the aircraft.’ The time lag restriction for aircraft has been removed.
The ministry has said in its order that magazines and other reading items can also be made available to passengers in the aircraft. It has been said in this decision that due to proper adherence to all protocols related to Kovid, the ban on miles in magazines and aircraft has been removed. Let us inform that when the domestic airline was started after the lockdown last year, in view of the Corona epidemic, the facility of miles was allowed in the aircraft with special conditions.
Let us inform that earlier, the Ministry of Aviation was reviewing the food services in aircraft during domestic flights in view of the decline in the number of daily corona cases and suggestions were also sought from the Health Ministry for amendment of the existing guidelines.
