Eyes on Raja Tore’s bungalow…

A tussle has started between the former and the current minister of the Modi government over a bungalow. Recently, former education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, who was removed from the cabinet, has refused to vacate the bungalow located at 27 Safdarjung Road. As a minister, he got this bungalow, which he now had to vacate in a month as per the rules. But he wants to stay in this and it is being said that he has got permission from the Directorate of Estates. But the matter has got stuck here that Jyotiraditya Scindia, who became the new Civil Aviation Minister, wants to stay in this bungalow.

The Scindia family has been living for a long time at this bungalow located in Lutyens’ Delhi near Safdarjung’s Tomb. Jyotiraditya Scindia himself was also living in this bungalow till he lost the Lok Sabha elections in 2019. Before this, his father Madhavrao Scindia also lived here for years. He even breathed his last at this bungalow. It is being said that due to this, Scindia has a special attachment to this bungalow and he wants to shift to it. According to the Economic Times report, when he joined the BJP last year, he was offered three bungalows, but he refused.

At present, he is living in his private residence located in Anand Lok. In 1980, Madhavrao Scindia was made a minister in Rajiv Gandhi’s cabinet. Then he got this bungalow and here he used to hold his meetings. Let us tell you that this kind of request among the leaders regarding bungalows is not new. Recently, LJP leader Chirag Paswan was also ordered to vacate his house in which Ram Vilas Paswan used to live as a minister. Chirag Paswan had also pleaded to stay in it, but in the end he has been ordered for it.
