Effect of Bharat Bandh, several kilometer long jam on Gurugram-Delhi border

A long queue of vehicles has formed at the Gurugram-Delhi border in the early morning due to the farmers’ call for Bharat Bandh on Monday. Actually, due to Bharat Bandh, Delhi Police is checking every vehicle, due to which there has been a long jam on the border. Farmers have called a Bharat Bandh on September 27 to protest against the three agricultural laws of the Centre.

The United Kisan Morcha is leading this Bharat Bandh. Farmers have announced Bharat Bandh from 6 am to 4 pm. During this period, vehicular movement has also been closed on many national highways.

Farmers have said that all private and government offices, educational institutions and other institutions, shops will remain closed during this period. However, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait said that all essential services like hospitals, medical stores etc. can continue their work.

Delhi Traffic Police has tweeted that both National Highway 9 and National Highway 24 have been closed due to farmers’ agitation. People coming from UP and going to UP through this route should pass through other routes instead of this route. Delhi Traffic Police has advised that people coming to and going from UP should pass through DND, Vikas Marg, Signature Bridge, Wazirabad Road etc.

Let us inform that more than 40 farmer organizations led by the United Kisan Morcha have been agitating against the three agricultural laws of the Center since November last year. The demand of the farmers is that these three laws should be withdrawn or else their agitation will continue.
