Eclipse on vaccination of youth from May 1, many states postponed vaccination


The second wave of Corona virus has caused havoc in the country. More than three lakh new cases are coming up every day for the past several days, after which people have started getting scared. On the one hand the government is trying to stop new cases of corona, on the other hand it is also intensifying the vaccination campaign. The government has announced a vaccination campaign for those above 18 years of age from May 1. However, there is a possibility of eclipse on vaccination of youth from May 1 in the fight against Corona. Due to delays in the supply of vaccines, major states affected by corona, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh have deferred vaccination. However, it is a matter of relief that from May 1, the Russian vaccine Sputnik-V will also be available for use.

Restrictions increased in Maharashtra

Maharashtra has extended the restrictions till May 15 in view of the increasing cases of corona. Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that due to increasing restrictions like lockdown and non-availability of adequate doses of vaccines, the vaccination of the youth will not take place from May 1. Bharat Biotech has given 10 lakhs every month whereas the Serum Institute has said to give 10 million doses. In Maharashtra, 63,309 new cases of Kovid have been reported in the last 24 hours, after which the total number of infected people has increased to 4,473,394. After the death of 985 more people, 67,214 people have died due to infection in the state so far.

Vaccination to 45 people in Rajasthan

The Rajasthan government has said that they are not getting the supply of mutual vaccines from the center, so from May 1, only those above 45 years of age will get the vaccine. Currently, one crore people in this category have not been vaccinated.

Serum slashes prices for states

The Serum Institute has reduced the price of its vaccine covicshield. States will now get it at Rs 300 per dose instead of 400.

Rajasthan: The government said, 3.75 crore doses have been ordered to Serum Institute, but how long they will be received is not clear. The vaccine from the center is also not able to come continuously.


Maharashtra: Health Minister Rajesh Tope said, it is difficult to launch the campaign due to lack of vaccines. There is no response from Serum and Bharat Biotech. The reason for the lockdown too.

Chhattisgarh: India Biotech will provide the vaccine by July. However, there was no response to the vaccine from the serum.

Assam : The government has indicated to postpone vaccination. He has only 2.5 lakh vaccines left.
Telangana: One and a half million doses remain for vaccination. In such a situation, the youth will not be able to get the vaccine on time.

Karnataka : The government has indicated that the work of vaccination for those above 18 years of age should go ahead a week.
Tamil Nadu: The government has written a letter to the Prime Minister requesting for adequate dose of vaccine.

Immunization registrations have started for people over 18 years of age. Kovin, Arogya Setu app crashed as soon as registration started at four in the evening. After some time the service was restored.

The politics has started for the central and state governments to fix different prices by the companies. Punjab, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh Center have been accused of step-dealing.
