Delhi Weather Updates: Temperature rises in Delhi, forecast of rain again till this evening

The temperature in the capital Delhi increased on Saturday and the minimum temperature was recorded at 28.2 degrees Celsius. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the humidity level in the morning was very high at 93 percent.

The minimum temperature on Friday was recorded at 24.5 degrees Celsius, three notches below normal, while the maximum temperature was recorded at 32 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season’s average.

The Meteorological Department said that the minimum temperature on Saturday was recorded at 28.2 degrees Celsius. According to the department, the city received an average of 43.6 mm of rain till 8.30 am.

According to meteorologists, there may be moderate rain till evening. Along with this, the maximum temperature has also been predicted to be around 32 degree Celsius. The IMD had issued an orange alert on Friday and predicted moderate rain on Saturday. It also warned of heavy traffic jam at many places, anticipating water-logging in low-lying areas of the capital.

The Meteorological Department has issued ‘Yellow Alert’ for Sunday and again ‘Orange Alert’ for Monday. The IMD uses a four-colour code, in which green means all will be well, while yellow indicates very bad weather. It also means that the change in weather can lead to very bad conditions that can affect everyday activities.

At the same time, the Orange Alert is issued as a warning for extreme bad weather, which is expected to block traffic with road and drain closure and power supply interruption. A red alert is issued when extremely bad weather conditions are sure to disrupt travel and power and pose a risk to life.
