Corona’s defeat continues, lowest active case after March 2020


In the midst of continuously decreasing cases of corona, now the number of patients treated for it in India has come down to a low of 266 days. However, in the latest figures, a slight increase in new cases of corona has been registered as compared to the previous day. A total of 13 thousand 91 new cases of corona virus have been registered in the last 24 hours, after which the total number of infected people in the country has increased to 3 crore 44 lakh 1670. At the same time, the number of active patients or treated patients is now only 1 lakh 38 thousand 556.

In the last one day, 340 more corona patients died in the country, after which the death toll has increased to 4 lakh 62 thousand 189. The daily cases of Kovid-19 in the country for 34 consecutive days are less than 20 thousand and for 137 days less than 50 thousand new daily cases are being reported. The number of patients under treatment has also come down to 1,38,556, which is 0.40 per cent of the total cases. This rate is the lowest since March 2020. In the last 24 hours, there has been a decrease in the number of patients under treatment by 1,127. The national recovery rate of patients is 98.25 percent, which is the highest since March 2020.


According to the data, the daily infection rate is 1.10 per cent, which is less than two per cent for the last 38 days. At the same time, the weekly infection rate is 1.18 percent, which has remained less than two percent for the last 48 days. So far, a total of 3,38,00,925 people have become infection free, while the death rate is 1.34 percent. So far, more than 110.23 crore doses of anti-COVID-19 vaccines have been administered under the nationwide immunization drive. The number of infected in the country had crossed 20 lakh on August 7 last year, 30 lakh on August 23 and more than 40 lakh on September 5. At the same time, the total cases of infection had crossed 50 lakh on 16 September, 60 lakh on 28 September, 70 lakh on 11 October, 80 lakh on 29 October and 90 lakh on 20 November. In the country, these cases crossed one crore on December 19, crossed two crore on May 4 this year and crossed three crore on June 23.

According to ministry data, 340 people died due to infection in the last 24 hours, out of which 259 were from Kerala and 17 from Maharashtra. According to a press release issued by the Kerala state government on Wednesday, 48 of these 259 deaths were reported in the last few days. At the same time, 211 cases of death have been added to the cases of death from Kovid-19 based on the new guidelines of the Center and the Supreme Court.
