Corona virus has become a challenge in Kerala. 31,455 new cases of Kovid-19 have been reported in the state. A total of 215 people have died on Wednesday. In Kerala, the data released by the Ministry of Health shows that the infection in the state is not taking its name. The concern has increased even more after 31,455 new cases were reported on Wednesday alone. Not only this, the rate of infection of corona virus in the state has increased to more than 12 percent. As Corona has gained momentum in the state, in the meantime, State Health Minister Veena George has directed an emergency meeting with the department to review the increasing number of Kovid-19 patients and ensure vaccination for as many people as possible. The Kerala government has set a target of administering at least one dose of the Kovid-19 vaccine to all people above 18 years of age by the end of September.

In this regard, the Health Minister has instructed the officials that special attention should be paid to avoid delay in vaccination. He said that the problem of shortage of syringes is being resolved. George has said that the Center has promised 1.11 crore vaccines to the state and more doses will be available soon. Let us tell you that despite all the efforts of the Pinarayi Vijayan government of the state, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly VD Satheen has alleged that the Kovid control system in the state has failed and the government should correct its existing strategies and methodology for disease management. The Congress leader said the lack of data analysis has also seriously affected the research activities in the southern state.

Satishan accused the government of spending only Rs 29 crore on vaccination while Rs 817 crore was raised through the vaccine challenge. He demanded that the remaining amount be used to subsidize vaccines in private hospitals. He also urged that the state government should increase the number of RT-PCR tests as the antigen test is not reliable.

Satishan said that earlier it was said that Kerala’s Kovid management is more effective than other states, but now the maximum number of cases in the country are coming from Kerala itself. He claimed that the government does not understand what to do to control the increasing cases of Kovid. Earlier on Tuesday, 24,296 cases of corona virus were reported in Kerala. This is the second time after May 26 that the number of cases has crossed 24000. On May 26, there were 28,798 cases.
