According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 28,83,37,385 samples were tested till April 30, of which 19,45,299 samples were tested on Friday.

There have been 3684 deaths in the last 24 hours, of which 802 in Maharashtra, 412 in Delhi, 304 in Uttar Pradesh, 229 in Chhattisgarh, 271 in Karnataka, 171 in Gujarat, 160 in Rajasthan, 107 in Uttarakhand and 169 in Jharkhand, Punjab. 138 people died in Tamil Nadu and 147 in Tamil Nadu. A total of 2,15,523 people have died so far due to infection in the country, out of which 69,615 in Maharashtra, 16,569 in Delhi, 15,794 in Karnataka, 14,193 in Tamil Nadu, 12,874 in Uttar Pradesh, 11,447 in West Bengal, 9160 in Punjab and 8810 people have died in Chhattisgarh.
