Corona explosion in Delhi, infection breaks all records this year, 5100 new cases in 24 hours, 17 people killed

Once again all the cities of the country including Delhi are witnessing the furore of Corona (COVID-19). For the first time in a day on Tuesday, this year has stirred up more than 5000 new cases and 17 more patients died. The total number of infected patients has now crossed 6.85 lakhs in Delhi. With this, now the positivity rate has also increased to 4.93 percent. Corona infection was confirmed in 3548 patients on Monday.

According to the Health Bulletin released by the Health Department of Delhi Government on Tuesday, where 5100 new corona patients have been found in the last 24 hours, the total number of dead has increased to 11,113 after the death of 17 more patients.

According to the bulletin, today 2340 patients returned to their homes after getting corona free, while the number was 2936 on Monday. The Health Department said that the total number of infected in Delhi so far has been 6,85,062 and 8871 patients are in home isolation.

Now active cases of corona virus infection have also increased to 17,332 in the capital. At the same time, a total of 6,56,617 patients have become corona free by defeating this epidemic. With this, the death toll has so far risen to 11,113.

According to Delhi Health Department, today a total of 103,453 tests have been done in Delhi. Of these, 69,667 RTPR / CBNAAT / TRUNAT tests and 33,786 rapid antigen tests were performed. A total of 15,075,212 tests have been conducted in Delhi so far and 7,93,432 tests have been done per 10 lakh people. With this, after the creation of 201 new Containment Zones in Delhi today, their number has also increased to 3291, while on Friday their number was 3090.

Delhi government cautious, Kovid-19 keeps a close watch on the situation: Jain

As the cases of Kovid-19 increased rapidly in the capital, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said that the AAP government is alert to the epidemic situation and is monitoring the situation. He told reporters that so far more than 12 lakh people have been vaccinated in Delhi. Hours before Jain’s statement on the state of the epidemic, the Delhi government has imposed a night curfew from 10 am to 5 am till 30 April in view of the rapid increase in cases of Kovid-19 in the capital.
