The second wave of Corona virus in India seems to be quite havoc. In one day on Wednesday, Corona virus cases destroyed all records and crossed the maximum figure of 1.25 lakh. This is the first time since the onset of the epidemic, when more than 1 lakh 26 thousand new cases have been reported in a single day. The maximum number of cases of corona virus were reported for the second consecutive day on Wednesday. On Tuesday, where more than 1 lakh 15 thousand cases were reported, on Wednesday, this figure has gone up to more than 1 lakh 26 thousand. In view of this growing havoc with Corona, now the restrictions have returned. Somewhere a lockdown has been announced and a night curfew has been announced.
On Tuesday, the complete lockdown was announced from April 9 to April 19 in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. At the same time, the Punjab government extended the statewide night curfew till 30 April. Even Bengaluru has banned swimming pools and gym centers in the city. Apart from this, the night curfew has been announced in several cities including Lucknow, Kanpur, the capital of UP from today.
The second wave of Corona in the country has crossed the peak of the first wave of Corona, where around 93 thousand cases used to come in September 2020, whereas on an average 100761 new daily cases are coming in the country right now. This means that the second wave is moving towards its peak.
After Mumbai, Chandigarh, a night curfew was announced in Delhi on Tuesday. Restrictions have been implemented in Delhi till 30 April. The worst condition due to corona is in Maharashtra, where this state contributes half of the total corona cases in India. This is the reason that in many cities of Maharashtra, the administration has imposed from night curfew to weekend lockdown. Apart from this, the government has also announced a night curfew in Rajasthan and Gujarat.
Chhattisgarh has emerged as the second largest hotspot in India after Maharashtra, where there are frequent cases of corona virus. This is the reason why 11 days of complete lockdown has been imposed in Raipur district. Till Tuesday, more than 76 thousand cases have been registered in Raipur and more than 1000 people have died. In the last 6 days, more than ten thousand cases have been reported in Raipur and 93 people have died.
Amid growing Corona cases in India, the central government cautioned that the next four weeks were extremely important and that people should cooperate in combating the second wave of the epidemic. Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said that it seems that people have given precaution like applying mask.
