Center said amidst uproar over vaccine shortages – there is no shortage of vaccines, 43 crore doses in stock

The new wave of Corona in India has created a tragedy. New record cases are coming up every day. The country also has the world’s largest vaccination commission, but some states have expressed concern that their vaccine stock is going to run out in the coming days. Due to this, they may be forced to close the vaccine center. After this, the Union Health Minister has said that removing the concerns, there is no shortage of vaccine doses. The country has a stock of 43 million vaccine doses.

States including Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Jharkhand complained that they were facing a shortage of vaccines, while reports came from several other states that vaccine centers were closing early or due to non-supply. Were sending people back.

Officials in states such as Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Assam said they only had supplies for a few days, some would be forced to close vaccination centers if supplies were not replenished.

Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said “an end to eradicate fear”, and said that 43 crore doses are in stock or in the process of being given to the states, he shared a chart which showed that 9- 10 million vaccine doses have been used. He told that with this the government has started increasing vaccine production. Let us know that 24 million doses are in stock and another 1.9 crore are in the pipeline.

He said, “There is no shortage of vaccines; The central government is repeating it again and again. We have publicly shared the latest data on supply, consumption and dosage in the pipeline. “

Harshvardhan also vowed that the states that have given the most corona vaccine in India include Maharashtra and Rajasthan. A total of one crore six lakh 19 thousand 190 dose vaccines have been supplied to Maharashtra. Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope, who is suffering from the havoc of Corona, has said that the state has only Corona vaccine supplements to last for the next two days.

He said, “Vaccination has stopped in districts like Satara, Sangli and Panvel. There are many more districts where it has stopped. I have just been told that the Center has increased the dose of Kovid-19 vaccine from 700,000 to 1,700,000. Even this is low because we need 40,000,000 vaccine doses a week and 1,700,000 doses are not enough. “

Tope alleged that other states such as Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, etc. are getting “more vaccines” in terms of their population and Kovid-19 cases.

In Delhi, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar replied that 500,000 doses were wasted in Maharashtra due to lack of planning by the state government. He said that he is aware that 2.3 million doses of vaccines are available with the Maharashtra government.
