CBSE class 12 exam 2021: Almost all the states have sent their suggestions on Tuesday (25 May 2021) for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) 12th examinations. Most states favored the examination of 19 major subjects from the second option (short answer or multiple choice examination, in short duration).

Only Delhi, Punjab and West Bengal have opposed going to the examinations till the vaccination of all the students and teachers participating in the examination. Inequality was seen in which state when the examination should be held. Because in some states like Bihar, Assam and Uttarakhand, there are situations like floods and excessive rains, the exams will be conducted here after the monsoon.

In its high-level meeting, the Ministry of Education had given time till Tuesday to give written suggestions to the states for conducting the CBSE Class 12 examination. There were two options before the states, in which they had to choose one. The first option was to conduct a full unconventional examination of the major 19 subjects in August.

Officials of the Ministry of Education had told Hindustan Times that a new and shorter academic session was planned to start from November to reduce the stress of students and parents. The ministry had said that the option to cancel the examinations was also an option that was given to all the states.

Some of these states like Delhi government had suggested to cancel the examinations. The Delhi government had said that it did not want the exams to be conducted before vaccination.
