BJP opened its cards in Rajasthan by-elections, 20 including Vasundhara Raje, Meghwal will be star campaigners

BJP has released the list of its star campaigners for the Rajasthan by-elections. BJP is preparing to field 20 star campaigners for the by-elections in two seats of Rajasthan. It includes veteran leaders of the party including former CM Vasundhara Raje, Union ministers Bhupendra Yadav, Gajendra Singh, Arjun Meghwal and Kailash Chaudhary.

On October 30, elections are to be held on two seats of Rajasthan, Vallabhnagar (Udaipur) and Dhariyawad (Pratapgarh). For this, BJP today released the list of its star campaigners. Former CM Vasundhara Raje, Union ministers Bhupendra Yadav, Gajendra Singh, Arjun Meghwal and Kailash Choudhary are included in this list. Other leaders include BJP state president Satish Poonia, party’s national general secretary Arun Singh and leader of opposition in the state assembly Gulab Singh Kataria.

Deputy Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Rajendra Rathore, National BJP Secretary Alka Gurjar, Rajya Sabha MPs Om Mathur and Kirori Lal Meena also figure in the list. In Vallabhnagar, BJP has given ticket to Himmat Singh Jhala. The BJP has fielded Khet Singh from Dhariawad. At the same time, Preeti Shaktiwat from Vallabhnagar and Nagraj Meena from Dhariawad are in the fray from Congress.

The by-elections have been necessitated due to the death of Congress MLA Gajendra Shaktiwat from Vallabhnagar and Gautam Lal Meena, BJP MLA from Dhariyawad. The ruling Congress in the state of Rajasthan with a total assembly capacity of 200, currently has 106 MLAs, BJP 71, Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) 3, CPI(M) and Bharatiya Tribal Party (BTP) 2 each, Rashtriya Lok Sabha The party has another thirteen independent MLAs.
