It is learned that the tomb of Brigadier Uthman was found in a damaged condition. The cemetery where the tomb is located comes under Jamia Millia Islamia in South Delhi. The army also expressed frustration over the condition of the tomb and said that if the Jamia Millia University administration could not take care of it, the army was fully capable of doing so. However, the administration of Jamia Millia Islamia University has claimed that it is responsible for the boundaries and cleanliness of the cemetery and the graves were taken care of by the family members concerned.
