The woman’s family has accused Satya Narayan and her two accomplices of rape and murder. Ved Ram and Jaspal were arrested on Tuesday night after a case was filed against the accused on this basis. Mahanta was a fugitive and four teams were formed to arrest him. Considering the incident of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath seriously, Bare Lee has summoned a report from the Additional Director General of Police of the zone. The Chief Minister directed that if necessary, special task force should be assisted in the investigation of the case, strict action should be taken against the culprits and the matter should be heard in the court expeditiously.

In this case, the then in-charge of the police station has been dismissed due to negligence. According to Senior Superintendent of Police Sankalp Sharma, the autopsy report confirmed that the woman had been raped. District Chief Medical Officer Dr Yashpal Singh said the woman died due to shock and excessive bleeding.
