In Manipur, militants killed the commanding officer of Assam Rifles, his family members and other Rifles personnel in Singhat sub-division of Churachandpur district in a cowardly act. Colonel Biplab Tripathi’s wife and son have also been killed in the attack. The attack happened at 10 am. The People’s Liberation Army is said to be behind the attack. And other soldiers were killed. Chief Minister N Biren Singh has confirmed this attack. He expressed grief over the incident.
According to the information received, the attack on the convoy of 46 AR Assam Rifles took place around 10 am. The Manipur-based People’s Liberation Army is behind the attack. It is being told that the militants already ambushed and killed 7 soldiers including Colonel Biplab Tripathi, his wife and son.

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has condemned this cowardly attack. CM Singh made his point through a tweet on social media. He wrote, “I strongly condemn the cowardly attack on the convoy of 46 AR. Today some personnel including the CO and his family have died in this attack. State forces and paramilitary are taking action to nab the militants. The culprits.” Won’t be spared.”
