Army’s close watch on China’s antics, M-777 guns increased strength on LAC

In the midst of the India-China border dispute on the LAC, the army may deploy more M-777 howitzer guns in mountainous areas. A month ago, the army had deployed these super-powered guns near Ladakh and LAC. According to army sources, a few days ago a US report came out in which it was told that China is setting up a settlement near the LAC. CDS Bipin Rawat has also expressed concern about this. He said that the biggest enemy of the country is China.

India ordered 145 howitzers from the US in November 2016 for $750 million. According to sources, by June 2022, the army will get 56 more M777 guns. So far, 89 howitzers have been received by India from America.

In view of China’s nefarious actions on the LAC, the army is now barricading the border with Arunachal Pradesh after eastern Ladakh and Uttarakhand. In view of the preparedness from the Chinese side, India has deployed state-of-the-art L70 anti-aircraft guns on the mountains near the Line of Actual Control (LAC). It is being told that the deployment of M-777 howitzer guns equipped with super power can increase on these mountains.

The Indian Army wants to send a strong message to China with the M-777 Howitzer guns that can strike a distance of 40 km. Howitzers can be easily moved from one area to another depending on the requirement. National Security Advisory Board member Lt Gen SL Narasimhan (Retd) said the induction of the remaining M-777s would certainly increase the strength of the Army.

In view of the activities of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China across the border, the deployment of L-70 anti-aircraft guns has already been done three months ago. The deployment of Bofors guns in the eastern sector has also been completed. With this, India has now been able to give a befitting reply to any attack from China. Roads, bridges and tunnels are also being repaired and prepared to increase the deployment of the army.

Not only this, soldiers are being trained and prepared according to the needs of the mountainous areas. Soldiers are undergoing regular training on how to survive and fight between low temperatures and low oxygen at high altitude locations. Training has also been intensified for soldiers on how to evade enemy attacks as they move forward, respond to them and attack their territory.

Let us tell you that a few days ago, a US report had claimed that China is setting up a settlement on the LAC. CDS Bipin Rawat has also made open statements against China many times regarding this. He said that China is the biggest enemy of the country.
