Union Minister Anurag Thakur has now taunted the opposition MPs who created a ruckus in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday. Anurag Thakur said that ‘PM Modi asked the new ministers to go to the Rajya Sabha and listen to quality debates. But those ministers asked us whether the tables were kept there for dancing or whether the tables were kept there for some other reason. Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that the people of the country wait for the matters related to them to be raised in the House, while the only agenda of the opposition from the road to Parliament was only anarchy. Instead of shedding crocodile tears, they (opposition) should apologize to the country.

Apart from Anurag Thakur, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi has also surrounded the opposition MPs on this issue. Prahlad Joshi said that a day ago some MPs climbed the table in Parliament. He was feeling proud of himself. He thought he had done a great job. He tweeted after shooting the video of it. Video shooting is not allowed.

Prahlad Joshi further said that ‘Rahul Gandhi says it was the murder of democracy. The country can see what they did in Parliament. If they realize their responsibilities then they should apologize to the country. We have also demanded from the Speaker that strict action should be taken on this so that such incident does not happen again.

Let us tell you that the CCTV footage of the uproar between the opposition MPs and the marshals in the Rajya Sabha has now surfaced. In this footage, it is seen that the MPs are getting into a scuffle with the marshals. Some people are seen climbing over the table in the Rajya Sabha. In fact, during the monsoon session of Parliament, the opposition kept on creating ruckus demanding discussion on many issues including pegagus, inflation, agricultural law. Due to this uproar, the proceedings of both the houses were affected.

However, the situation in the Rajya Sabha worsened on Wednesday when marshals had to be sought to stop the rioting opposition MPs. On this day the controversial General Insurance Business (Nationalisation) Amendment Bill, 2021 was passed in the Rajya Sabha amid uproar. When the government pressed for discussion on the bill amid the uproar, CPI MP Binoy Viswam tried to climb onto the reporter’s desk. After which Chairman BJD MP Sasmit Patra immediately adjourned the house.
