Announcement of by-elections in 3 Lok Sabha and 30 assembly seats lying vacant, voting will be held on October 30

The date has been announced for the by-elections in three seats of the Lok Sabha and 30 seats of the Legislative Assembly lying vacant in the country. The Election Commission has issued a notification on Tuesday and said that all these seats will go to polls on October 30. The three Lok Sabha seats for which by-elections are to be held include Dadra Nagar Haveli, Khandwa in Madhya Pradesh and Mandi in Himachal Pradesh.

Apart from this, one in Andhra Pradesh, 5 in Assam, two in Bihar, one in Haryana, 3 in Himachal Pradesh, two in Karnataka, 3 in Madhya Pradesh, one in Maharashtra, 3 in Meghalaya, one in Nagaland, two in Rajasthan, Telangana. By-elections are also to be held in another 4 assembly seats of West Bengal.

Three Lok Sabha seats are vacant after untimely demise

Let us inform that the body of Independent MP from Dadra Nagar Haveli Mohan Delkar was found hanging in the hotel in February this year. This seat has been vacant since his death. Apart from this, BJP MP from Khandwa in Madhya Pradesh Nandkumar Singh Chauhan also died in March this year. He was suffering from Corona. At the same time, the body of BJP MP Ramswaroop Sharma from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh was also found hanging in his Delhi flat.

BJP’s exam by-election in Haryana?

By-election has also been announced for Ellenabad seat of Haryana. INLD leader Abhay Chautala was the MLA from this seat but he resigned from the legislature this year in support of the farmers’ movement. It is being said that the ongoing farmers’ agitation against the agricultural laws can cause major damage to the BJP. In such a situation, this seat of Haryana can prove to be a test for BJP.
