America also accepted the vision of PM Narendra Modi, became part of International Solar Alliance


The US has also become a part of the International Solar Alliance, started in view of the availability of low rates of solar energy all over the world. This alliance was started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the then French President Francis Hollande at the 2015 Climate Summit in Paris. Now after America also became a part of this organization, the total number of member countries has increased to 101. During the COP26 organized to discuss climate change in Glasgow on Wednesday, the US announced to join this organization. During this, US Representative John Kerry and India’s Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav were present.

Welcoming America to join this campaign, Bhupendra Yadav said, ‘I am happy that America has now become a formal part of the visionary experiment started by PM Narendra Modi. It was started by PM Narendra Modi in 2015 in Paris. Now the total number of member countries of the International Solar Alliance has increased to 101. He said that this will strengthen the International Solar Alliance across the world and help the world move towards alternative energy.

The International Solar Alliance has set a target of investing US$1,000 billion by 2030 to increase the production of solar energy around the world. The goal of reducing the cost of solar energy through investment in its technology has also been set under this alliance. It has also been decided to increase the number of solar-powered devices in the countries involved in this alliance. PM Narendra Modi was praised all over the world for this campaign and in the beginning, 86 countries had decided to join it. In the last 5 years, this number has increased further and till now a total of 101 countries have become its members.
