The government has reduced the number of forms required to be filled for drone operations from 25 to five and the number of fee types to be charged from 72 to 4. After easing the drone rules, Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that I believe that at this time under the drone policy like road taxis, we can also see taxis in the air.

Scindia said that the Defense and Home Ministries and the Bureau of Civil Aviation Technology are working on anti-drone technology. Scindia said that research and invention is being done on air taxis globally and many startups are also coming up. He said that the time is not far when taxis, like Uber etc. which you see on the streets, you will see them in the air under the drone policy. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that I believe that it is possible to a great extent. The Minister said that the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Home Affairs and BCAS (Bureau of Civil Aviation Security) are working together to develop and adopt counter rogue drone technology.

License fee also reduced

The remote pilot license fee has been reduced to Rs 3000 for large drones and Rs 100 for all categories of drones, which will be valid for 10 years. Simultaneously, a user friendly single window system based digital sky platform will be developed. Through this, most of the approvals will be received digitally and the operators will not have to make rounds of the offices.
