In view of the increasing cases of corona virus, now the help of the retired doctors is being taken from the army. The Armed Forces has deployed 600 such doctors who have retired. Top Army officials gave this information to Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday. The army said that these doctors have retired in the last few years.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday held a virtual meeting with the officials of the ministry and the three heads of defense, the Secretary of Defense and other officials. The meeting reviewed the efforts of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces to support the civil administration in the fight against the Corona crisis.
The Defense Ministry said in a statement that Rajnadh Singh was informed that the army has provided more than 720 beds for civilians in various states and that the Navy has also deployed more than 200 nursing assistants in different hospitals. Explain that amidst the growing crisis of Corona virus, the government has reviewed military preparations several times. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has had one-on-one meetings with the CDS, IAF Chief and Army Chief.
The demand for oxygen in the country has also increased after the wild surge in corona virus cases. In such a situation, the Airforce has maintained a front to supply oxygen on time. Many Air Force cargo aircraft are carrying the empty and loaded tankers of oxygen from one state to another.
Nausena is also being used for transporting oxygen. The naval warships are INS Kolkata, INS Kochi, INS Talwar, INS Tabar, INS Trikand, INS Jalashv and INS Airavat, which are engaged in bringing oxygen. INS Kolkata and INS Talwar are bringing liquid oxygen from Manama, INS Jalashv from Bangkok and INS Airavat from Singapore to India.
